PAPAL BLESSING

Miss Adele C. Torpey, one of Louisville's most beautiful girls, and Gillespie Powell Adams, of Shelbyville, were united in marriage in St. Louis Bertrand's Convent parlors on Tuesday afternoon. The ceremony was performed by the Very Rev. Father J. R. Clark, 0. P. The attendants were Miss Katherine May Torpey, a sister of the bride, and Fulton Fullenwider, of Shelbyville, After the marriage ceremony Father Clark read a cable message from Cardinal Merry del Val, bearing the Papal blessing on the marriage. Tuesday evening Mr. and Mrs. Adams left for a bridal trip through the East. On their return they will reside at Mr. Adams' home, Roseland, in Shelby county. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Julia L.
