He was born March 22, 1933 in Albright, West Virginia the son of the late Harry and Georgia Etta Feather McGinnis. He moved to Trumbull county from West Virginia in 1951 and had been a Cortland resident since 1962.
Keith was a 1951 graduate of Kingwood, WV high school. He worked as a machinist at General Motors, Lordstown for 24 years retiring in 1995. Beginning in 1978, he and his wife, Dorothy, founded and were the proprietors of the Village Antique and Lamp Shop in Cortland for many years.
Keith was of the protestant faith. He and his wife loved traveling the country buying antiques. They traveled with their motorhome and also enjoyed traveling by motorcycle across the United States and Canada. He enjoyed hunting and spending time at their camp in Cook's Forest, where he and the family snowmobiled and rode dirt bikes.
Keith is survived by his wife of nearly 64 years, Dorothy J. Haines McGinnis, whom he married January 15, 1953; two sons, Larry Keith (Teri) McGinnis Jr. of Cortland and John Harvey McGinnis of Washington D.C.; two grandchildren, Keith Robert McGinnis and Tricia Michelle McGinnis both of Phoenix; two step grandchildren; three great grandchildren, Gabriella, Darian and Hazel and one brother, Terry Allen McGinnis of Morgantown, WV.
Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery in Bazetta.
