Lewis "Buck" Johnson age 72 of Walnut Meadow Rd. Berea died Thursday Nov. 16, 2006 at his home. Lewis was a retired Parker Seal employee as a press operator, and son of the late Alexander "Ted" and Elnora Harding Johnson. Lewis is the husband of Margaret Parker Johnson, and they have been married for 50 years.
Lewis is also survived by his two sons Lewis "Eddie" & Belinda Johnson and Dale & Sheila Johnson all of Berea. Four sisters Ruth Hundley of Fairfield, OH, Bea Mattingly and Judi Johnson both of Clarksville, IN, and Marilyn Chasteen of Paint Lick, KY. One brother also survives Eugene Johnson of Paint Lick, KY. Four grandchildren; Jennifer (Andre') Danson of Harvest AL, Melissa Johnson of Lexington, Pepper Johnson (Kenny Richmond), and Jeremy Johnson both of Berea, and one great grandson Kenneth Wayne Richmond. Nineteen nieces and nephews also survive. Lewis was preceded in death by two brothers Isaac Johnson and Michael Johnson.
Funeral services will be Monday November 20, 2006 at 11:00 am at Lakes Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Harding presiding. Pallbearers will be PD Webb, Larry Agee, Larry Adkins, Garner White, Glyndon Williams, Jim Durham, Effie Brummett, and Joe Stanley. Honorary bearers will be Harry Wade, Charles Williams, AJ Richardson, Craig Beard, and Fred Morris. Burial will be in the Madison County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 6-9 pm at the Lakes Funeral Home.
