SPENCER - Mrs. Elsie (Sherman) Beckwith, 96, of 53 Lincoln St. died yesterday at Rutland Heights Hospital, Rutland. Her husband was the late Otto Beckwith. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Florence A. Bracconnier of Spencer; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Born in Barre, she was a daughter of Samuel and Eliza (Clark) Sherman, and had lived in Spencer 15 years, coming from Barre. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. tomorrow at J. Henri Morin & Son Funeral Home, 23 Maple Ter., with the Rev. John Lindsay officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Oakham. There are no calling hours.
