Vincent Daniel Abbonizio of Conshohocken Vincent Daniel Abbonizio, 80, lifelong resident of Conshohocken PA, most recently of Luther Woods Nursing Home, Hatboro PA., passed peacefully in his sleep at Luther Woods Nursing Home. He was the loving husband of 56 yrs to Dorothy Ann (Chenger). Vince was born in Minersville, PA on December 8, 1934 to the late Giuseppe and Julia (Stravinska) Abbonizio.
Vince was a Communicant of SS. Cosmas & Damian Parish. He was a dedicated employee at Alan Wood Steel Mill in Conshohocken and Glasgow Quarry in King of Prussia.Vince was in the US Army from 1961-1962. Vince’s favorite pastime was his garden of tomatoes & lettuce. He was an avid Phillies fan and a weather enthusiast.
Along with his wife, Vince is survived by his children: Christina Sottolano (Chris) of Mount Laurel NJ, Anna Marie Abbonizio of Collegeville and Charlene Campo (Vincent) of Schwenksville; Grandchildren: Stephanie & Louis Sottolano, Jesse Harad, and Vincent Campo; a brother: Nicholas Abbonizio; a sister Antoinette Smith and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters Marie Sciascio and Rose Ferrante.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass on Friday, September 4, 2015 at 10:30AM at SS. Cosmas and Damian Church, 209 W 5th Ave, Conshohocken, PA 19428. A viewing will be from 9:00-10:00 AM at the Emil J. Ciavarelli Family Funeral Home, 516 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken.
