He married Flossie Alice Huffman on 23 Apr 1922, Wells County, Indiana. They had two sons, Robert Lewis Beaty and Richard Eugene Beaty.

Everett R. Beaty, 72, prominent Lancaster Township farmer, dairyman and businessman, died unexpectedly at 2 a.m. Wednesday in his home, Rt. 7 Huntington, of a heart attack. He had suffered a previous attack 11 years ago.

Mr. Beaty, who resided on Ind. 9 and 37, about six miles south of this city, since 1931, was born June 19, 1896, in Wells County to John E. and Belle Huffman Beaty. He married Flossie A. Huffman on April 23, 1922 in Wells County. He taught school as a young man and later engaged in the grocery business for over 20 years in Huntington.

Well known as a breeder of registered Guernsey cattle, Mr. Beaty at one time had the largest herd of the stock in Indiana. He also operated as a broker and realtor having been affiliated with the Huntington Trust and Saving Bank and with his sons, Robert L. Beaty and Richard E. Beaty in the Beautyguard Manufacturing business. He was co-founder of the Beaty Rollerena and Motel complex near his home, Lum's Restaurant in Cleveland, Ohio; and was sales manager for registered Guernsey auction sales in eight states for 20 years. A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.

Surviving are the widow, two sons, Robert L. Beaty, Rt. 7 Huntington and Richard E. Beaty, Huntington; three grandchildren, Kirk, Kent and Pamela Beaty, five step-grandchildren, a brother, Ed. W. Beaty, this city, and two sisters, Mrs. Claude (Mae) Mounsey, Bluffton, and Mrs. Frank (Crystal) Warner, Huntington. A brother, Fred E. Beaty, is dead.

Friends may call after 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Robbins Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday with Rev. Orrin Manifold officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers were Dee Wygant, Henry Leffler, Clyde Hall, Mike Cecil, Dr. J. B. Eviston, Claude Mounsey, Frank Warner, Myron Wilhelm, Mark Miller, Ed Siebern and John Dolby.

Active pallbearers were Clarence Campbell, George Close, Jim Coleman, Verl McHenry, Fred Cosart, Henry Stahlsmith [sic - Harry], Jim Jones and Floyd Swathwood.

Burial was in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery.
