Joel Kermit Abbott, 66, of Republican Grove passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016 at the home of his sister.
Joel was born in Lynchburg, May 12, 1950, son of the late Richard E. Abbott and Maureen J. Abbott. He was a member of Republican Grove United Methodist Church, a volunteer with the Disaster Relief American Red Cross – Halifax Chapter, and a retired employee of the Virginia Alcohol Beverage Control Board.
Funeral service: Conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Republican Grove United Methodist Church by the Pastor Kyle Uselton with interment in the Abbott Family Cemetery.
