Bruce D. Hammons, Sr., 56, Birnamwood, WI died Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born on July 18, 1957 in Waukesha, WI the son of Thelma (Dutton) Hammons and the late Dwaine Hammons.

On April 17, 2004, Bruce was united in marriage to Barbara Urbain in Rhinelander.

Bruce drove truck for over 30 years. He was an avid ham radio operator and enjoyed hunting, fishing and wood working.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Hammons, Birnamwood;
two sons, Bruce Hammons Jr., Christopher of Illinois and Dwaine Hammons, II, Wausau, WI;
two step-sons, Eric Eby, Rhinelander, WI and Travis Eby, Birnamwood, WI;
his mother, Thelma Dutton, Eagle River, WI;
six grandchildren, Julian, Rex, Sonya, Bradley, Roger and Jason;
one sister, Donna (Steve) Schutt, Gold Bar, Wash.;
one brother, David (Wanda) Hammons, Rhinelander, WI;
one brother-in-law, Paul Urbain and one sister-in-law, Cecilia (Joe) Bergfeld.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one sister Fama (Norman) Voss and his father & mother-in-law Ray and Helen Urbain.

A Celebration of Bruce's Life will take place on Saturday, July 26, 2014 starting at noon at his residence, W16480 Hemlock Road, Birnamwood, WI 54414.
