He owned and operated Brown's Economy Body and Paint in Olivehurst for most of his life. He also worked for Wheeler Oldsmobile as well as Cooper Body and Paint.
He was a Veteran of the Korean War, stationed in Berlin, Germany.
He is survived by his constant companion and friend, Marge Myers. He leaves his children: Dick Jr. (Beverlee) Brown of Plumas Lake, Gary (Terrie) Brown of Georgia, Drena (Don) Cantrell of Oliverhurst, Lisa Brown of Olivehurst, Mark Brown of Marysville, Todd Brown of Sacramento, and foster son Nick Schwall of Scott's Valley, CA; 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; brothers: Jim Brown of Olivehurst, Roy Brown of Georgia; twin sister Sue Smith of Rio Oso and Sharon Loeblein of Yuba City.
