"Harry John Walker, 61, of Star Route, Apollo, died of a heart attack at 7 p.m. Saturday at his home.
A son of Ortho O. and Ida Jane (Hiltz) Walker, he was born Dec. 19, 1906 in Rural Valley RD1. Prior to moving to Apollo, he resided at Shelocta RD 1.
Mr. Walker was employed by United States Steel in Vandergrift and was a member of Elderton United Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of Vandergrift Volunteer Fire Department N. 2.
Surviving are: his wife, the former Maryedna S. Thomas; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Marjorie Lou) Rokosky of Pittsburgh and three grandsons, Richard, David and Joseph Rokosky; a brother, David Gibson of Clinton, Wash.; three sisters, Mrs. Lysie (Nettie) Walker of Youngstown, Ohio, Mrs. Oscar (Ruth) Rearick of Russelton, Pa. and Mrs Jonas (Louella) Rearick of Apollo RD2; an adopted son, Donald Walker of Conneaut, Ohio; a half=brother, Sloan Gibson of Nu Mine; and two half sisters, Mrs. Margaret Schrecengost of Rural Valley and Mrs. Alda Anderson of Star Route, Apollo.
WALKER - Friends of Harry John Walker of Star Route, Apoolo, who died May 4, 1968, may call at Clarence P. Clark Funderal Home, Elderton, from 7-9 this evening and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Services will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Wednesday (May 8) by the Rev. C. Vincent Wilson. Burial will be made in Gastown Cemetery, Plumcreek Township. Arrangements by Clark."
