Elsie Yeats was born April 30, 1861 at Aberdeen, Scotland, and there at the age of 26 was married to William L. Yeats. In 1888 the family came to the United States, living for a short time in the New England states and in 1898 moved to Nebraska. Mr. Yeats passed away there the same year leaving Mrs. Yeats and the three children. They came to the Flathead in 1904 and Mrs. Yeats had since made her home near Columbia Falls. She passed away suddenly on May 30, 1936 in Kalispell.
Mrs. Yeats is survived by her two sons, George Yeats of Whitefish and William Yeats of Rudyard, one daughter, Mrs. Charles Willis of Whitefish; also nine grandchildren, one brother, William Shirreffs of Columbia Falls with whom she made her home, and a sister, Mrs. Alexa Scott of Nebraska.
