Lucinda was born in Perry Twp., Jefferson Co., PA, the daughter of Thomas Gourley and Eleanor C. Adams. She was married twice:
1. to "Ralston" Andrew Ralston Mitchell on December 27, 1855 in Perry Twp., Jefferson Co., PA. He was killed while serving in the Civil War in 1863.
2. to Jacob Grube in 1863. He died in 1909.

Ralston and Lucinda were the parents of two children:
1. "Ella" Sarah Eleanor (Mitchell) Hamilton
2. "Maggie" Margaret Ann (Mitchell) Beyer

Jacob and Lucinda were the parents of two children:
