Paul C. Abi-Kheirs, 69 of Hanover, passed away on August 23, 2016. Born on December 1, 1946 in Kaytouli, Lebanon, he was the son of the late Chbib and Emilie (Hajjar) Abi-Kheirs. Paul was a Master Sergeant in the Lebanese Civil War Green Beret. A black belt, he taught Shotokan Karate for the Army. He came to America in December of 1976. He was employed as an optician and hearing aid specialist working for CE Optical, Strecker Eye Care and Peters Optical before establishing his own practice, Abi-Kheirs Eye & Ear. Paul was devoted to his Catholic Faith and his family. Paul is survived by his loving wife Ruth N. (Tanguay) Abi-Kheirs. Devoted father of Michael G. Abi-Kheirs and his wife Nicole of Brookline, Emily C., Sophia M., and Elijah P. Abi-Kheirs, all of Hanover. He was 1 of 9 siblings and also leaves many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Homes, 551 Washington St. Rte. .53, Hanover, on Friday from 4-7 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover St. Rte. 139, Hanover on Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial in Hanover Center Cemetery.
