He attended Jorden grade school and graduated from Pontiac Community High School. Before graduation he was called to serve in the U.S. Army Air Corps where he served for two years.
During his lifetime Dick farmed, did road construction and was a linotype operator in Pontiac. He retired from Ringier Inc. in Pontiac in 1990.
He was married to Betty Boggs on Nov. 21, 1970, and became the proud and loving stepfather to Brian Boggs.
Survivors include his wife Betty; his daughters, Becky M. Weber (Randy LaRue) of Burlington, Wis., and Debbie Petersen of Hemet, Calif.; son, Brian (Judi) Boggs of Morton; three granddaughters, Angela Petersen, Kathryn Boggs and Anna D. Boggs; two grandsons, Jesse (Aida) Hawk and Mathew Petersen; and one great-granddaughter, Jade Hawk.
Dick never met a stranger and loved to be with people. Early in his adult life he was a magician/ventriloquist and entertained at schools and hospitals. Music was his passion and playing "ragtime" piano was his favorite pastime. We will definitely miss his lively tunes on the piano.
Dick was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Eugene Weber, and one sister who died in infancy.
