Doug was the son of
W. Paul and June A. Tack Bruce.

A retired HVAC technician, he had worked for Cunningham Shanor Plumbing for 17 years and later, for more than 10 years, for the County of Butler in the facilities and operations department.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Butler and Butler Moose Lodge 64, and he enjoyed sailing on Lake Arthur at Moraine State Park.

Surviving are two daughters, a granddaughter, his loving former wife, a brother, and a sister.

A dear and favorite aunt, Vera Tack, had lived next door and also had a large part in raising Doug. She also preceded him in death.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at the Bear Run Boat Launch Overlook at Moraine State Park.
The Rev. Jeff Miller, pastor of Harvest Bible Chapel, Pittsburgh North in Wexford, will officiate.
Cremation services were provided by Geibel Funeral Home, Butler.
