Mr. Golden
Horace E. Golden, 67, 2906 Waters Ave., died Sunday afternoon at Baptist Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. Survivors; wife, Mrs. Thelma Bagley Golden; sons, Gary and Roy Golden, Gadsden; Bruce Golden, Loganville, Ga.; a daughter, Mrs. Joyce Phillips, Gadsden; mother, Mrs. Nora Golden, Gadsden; brothers, Frank and Audley Golden, both of Gadsden; Clyde Golden, Marietta, Ga., Glen Golden, Atlanta, Ga., Sisters, Mrs. Charles Warsham, Gadsden; Mrs. Dorothy Erwin, Birmingham; 10 Grandchildren. Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Crestwood Chapel. The Rev. Wayne Hostletter officiating. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery. Active pallbearers; Odell Morgan, D.D. Yother, John Dial, Clyde Massey, Vester Logan and Bob Hood. Honorary pallbearers; Members of the City Commission, all City Employees and members of the Brannon Bible Class at Dwight Baptist Church where he was a member. He was a native of Gadsden and for the past 10 years had been employed as operator of the water treatment plant. The body will remain at Crestwood Chapel. Family will receive friends this evening.
