Alan Ray Story loving husband, dad, son, brother uncle and friend, passed away 11 Aug 2016 at the Huntsman Cancer Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah after recently being diagnosed with a brain stem tumor. He was born 21 Apr 1969 in Price, Utah a son of Gerald and LaVaun Story. He grew up in Price where he graduated from Carbon High School in 1987 and later graduated with Associates Degree from the College of Eastern Utah. He always enjoyed sports and while in high school he was manager of the boys basketball team. He was an avid scouter earning his Eagle Scout Award.

One of the highlights of his life was serving a mission for the LDS Church in Adelaide, Australia from 1988-1990. He made lifelong friends with the people he served as well as his missionary companions.

Alan attended Weber State University in Ogden, Utah where he met Kimberly Hadley, they were married 10 Dec 1993 in the Ogden LDS Temple. Alan and Kim made their home in South Ogden where Alan continued to attend Weber State with a Bachelor Degree in Social Work and Sociology. Alan was a hard worker and later went back to school to earn his Masters Degree.

Alan worked for Questar Gas for 25 years where he developed many lifelong friends.

He was preceded in death by his father.
