Robert Eugene “Gene” King, age 86, passed away at his home on Sunday evening, September 4, 2016, surrounding by his family.
Gene was born on July 25, 1930 in Scott City, Kansas to parents, Virgil & Pauline (Cwicig) King. Following his education, Gene joined and served in the United States Navy.
Gene was retired from Coors Distributing in Golden, Colorado. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, horses and his dogs, Freckles and Dakota.
Survivors include his son, Louis King and wife, Laurie; daughter, Katherine Nichols and husband, Carl; daughter, Sammy King; 10 grand children, 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; sister, Donna Powell.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Violet;
two children, Danny and Allan King;
grandson, Jason Schaefer and
three brothers and
two sisters.
