Her obituary in the August 24, 1926 Minneapolis Morning Tribune says Jennie was survived by a husband, 5 daughters, and 2 sons. She was living at 2634 - 34th Av. S. in Minneapolis at the time of her death. Her funeral was at the Scandinavian Tabernacle at 27th Ave. S. and Franklin Ave. and burial at Crystal Lake Cemetery. Walter A. Anderson Co. at 1825 Riverside Ave. was in charge of the arrangements.

According to census information, Jennie immigrated from Norway in about 1885, her husband John in about 1880, and they married March 14, 1891 in Minneapolis. Children were Annie, Clara, Marie E, Adolph L, Esther J, Joseph M, and Ruby C. Annie and Clara were probably from John's previous marriage as they were born in Norway and Jennie indicated 3 out of 3 living children in the 1900 census when there were 5 children in the home.

John was a carpenter working as a car repairman in the railroad shops. Jennie was housekeeping at home. In 1900 and 1910, the family was living at 2630 - 34th Ave. S. in Minneapolis, and in 1920 they were at 2634 - 34th Ave. S. This was a Scandinavian working-class neighborhood with simple 2-story houses, many of them duplexes. The houses are still there.
