OTTUMWA-Debra Anne Pence, 63, of Ottumwa, died at 10:40 p.m. September 6, 2016 at Hospice House in Ottumwa.

She was born October 27, 1952 in Ottumwa to Ramon and Claudine Huffman Terrell. She married Dennis R. Pence on November 7, 1970. He preceded her in death on August 1, 2015.

A 1970 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Debbie had been Deputy Treasurer at the Davis County Courthouse, had worked at the Ottumwa Courier and recently worked at NOEL Insurance. She retired in 2014 to care for her husband.

Debbie was a member of the Ottumwa Women’s Bowling Association and was a faithful Cubs fan for many years. She and her husband enjoyed traveling and spending time with her granddaughters.

Surviving is her daughter, Kim (Steve) Fears of Hedrick; two granddaughters, Madison Jo Fears and Kamryn Diane Fears; her mother, Claudine Terrell of Ottumwa; a sister, Darla (Brad) Francis of Eddyville; two brothers, Michael (Susan) Terrell and Travis Terrell both of Ottumwa; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Doran and Joyce Pence of Bloomfield, Dick Dunlavy of Mission, TX, Sheryl and Ken Davis of Oskaloosa.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ramon Terrell and a sister-in-law, Donna Dunlavy.

Graveside services and burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Ottumwa Cemetery with Rev. Aaron L. Swaim officiating.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Reece Funeral Home with the family present from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday.
