Ernest proudly served in the Army during the Korean war from 1951 to 1952.
He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy C. Turner; four sisters, Ruby Turner, Lottie Hill, Rochelle Lewis and Frankie Bell.
He is survived by his son, Duane D. (Marianne) Turner of Chicago, Illinois; two daughters, Andrea J. Turner of Chicago, Illinois and Rhonda M. Turner of Rochester, New York; three grandchildren, Tyehimba, Ayinde and Asmina Turner; sister, Lucinda Jackson of Rochester, New York; sister-in-law, Rae Battle of Rocky Mount, North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, church family and friends.
Friends may call Monday, September 12, from 11am-12Noon at the Mount Olivet Baptist Church 141 Adams Street. Funeral Service immediately following calling. Reverend Rickey B. Harvey, Pastor officiating. Interment in the Oakwood Cemetery, Penfield, New York.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute to the Mount Olivet Baptist Church Scholarship Fund or to the Alzheimer's Association 435 E. Henrietta Road Rochester, New York 14620 in memory of Mr. Turner.
