Funeral services for Leonard A. St. Cyr were held Friday, Dec. 1, 2006 at 2 p.m., at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed at the Highland Cemetery in Okemah.
Leonard Albert St. Cyr was born July 9,1925 in Castle, to Ben C. and Gertie (Marler) St. Cyr. He passed away Tuesday, Nov. 28, in Oklahoma City at the age of 81.
St.Cyr graduated from Mason High School. He and Odessa Emerson were married on February 18, 1946 in Okemah. St. Cyr worked as •a traffic manager for Cato Oil, a subsidiary of Kerr McGee, for 37 years before retirement in 1982. After retirement he and Odessa moved to Okemah Lake where they were currently living. St. Cyr enjoyed fishing, bowling, and was an excellent mechanic. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Okemah.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Ben and Gertie; three brothers, Qrville, Bennie Dale, and Lester; and three sisters. Hazel Curry, Violet St. Cyr, and Charity Kyle.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Odessa St. Cyr of Okemah Lake; three daughters, Karen Berry and husband Rockey of Luther, Jeanne Pearl of Oklahoma City, and Vickie Pool and husband Dennis of Edmond; one sister, Ruby Scott of Kingston; one sister-in-law, Maxine St. Cyr of Okemah; three grandchildren, Freddy Harth, Casi Tapp, and Preston Pool; two greatgrandchildren, Lincoln and Piper Tapp; and one more great-granddaughter on the way.
Serving as pallbearers were Phil Hatcher, Mike Fraser, Don Wilbourn, Judge David Martin, Larry McKinney, and James Smith.
Services were under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home and officiated by Rev. Wade Harelson
