Jean C. Acres, 72, died Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH after complications from heart surgery. She was born August 12, 1944 in Lynn, MA., daughter of the late James and Gladys (Leavitt) Campbell.
Jean grew up in Saugus, MA. and was a graduate of Saugus High School, Class of 1962. She married Chester S. Acres Jr. in 1974. They lived for several years in East Hampstead and Derry, NH before moving to Raymond, NH 35+ years ago. Jean was a devoted homemaker to her husband and 2 children.
Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, and gardening. Jean was an avid Elvis Presley fan and for many years made annual trips to Memphis, TN.
She was a member of the Ray-Fre Senior Center and enjoyed the friendships she made there.
Jean was always very good to her family and she will be sadly missed. She was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Barbara Campbell.
She is survived by her loving husband, Chester S. Acres Jr., her daughter, Amy P. Murray, her son, Chester S. Acres III., 2 grandchildren, David Coon and Ethan Acres, sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Lloyd Wormstead, her brother, James F. Campbell, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Barry and Mary Alice Acres, brother-in-law, Stephen Acres, sister-in-law, Beverly Fisher, and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 16, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Brewitt Funeral Home, Raymond, NH.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in the New Pine Grove Cemetery, Raymond, NH.
