William C. "Sonny" James, 84, of Blytheville, passed away Monday, September 12, 2016 at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.
Sonny was born in Helena, Arkansas to Will and Virlie (Bradshaw) James. He was a retired truck driver and was a member of North 10th Street Baptist Church. Sonny loved his church and spending time with his family. When he was able, he loved to work in his yard.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Emma Joe Perkins James; his parents; brother, Max B. James; and sister, Eleece James.
Sonny leaves his wife, Pat Turner James, of the home; children, Regina Johnson and husband Greg of Dell, Dennis James and wife Stacy of Searcy, Karen Turner of Jacksonville, Arkansas, and Robert Turner and wife Brenda of Lemoyne, Pennsylvania; brother, Jim James of Port Orchard, Washington; grandchildren, Jesseca James, Heather James, Julie Crosskno (Chris), Jordan Johnson, Jon Turner, and Stephen Turner; great-grandchildren, Johnna James, Shelby Crosskno, Reagan James, Logan James, and Quinn Crosskno.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Spetember 16th at 11:00 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Max Briley and Rev. Mitchell King officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until service time at Cobb Funeral Home.
