Sylva Carolyn Prentice was the daughter of Sarah Carolyn Hamilton and Alfred Ray Prentice. Sylva married Roe Lindsay Dickey on 12 August 1986 in Weatherford, Parker Co., Texas. She was a member of South Side Baptist Church in Weatherford.

Sylva Dickey, 57, of Weatherford, a loving wife and mother, went to be wi th her Lord and Savior April 19, 2006.
She was born Feb. 6, 1949, in Fort Worth and was a resident of Weatherford for many years. Mrs. Dickey was a homemaker and a member of the South Side Baptist Church.
Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 21, in the Annetta Cemetery. Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 20, at the funeral home.
