Louise was born on July 10, 1926 in Manitowoc. She was the daughter of the late John and Ottilia (Jens) Wilsmann. Louise attended elementary school at Fillmore School. She was employed as an office clerk and bookkeeper at a variety of business offices in Manitowoc and Two Rivers, including Clipper City Transport, FW Kerscher Company, Lakeside Packing, J.C. Penny, Clem Becker Meats and White House Milk. It was at the latter where she met Giles Zigmund whom she married on August 29, 1977. He preceded her in death in September 2013. For many years Louise was an active bowler and enjoyed League Bowling. She enjoyed travel in the United States and Europe. While she had no children of her own, Louise enjoyed sharing activities with her nieces and nephews and their families. As a result of her outgoing friendly personality, she easily made lasting friendships from her work partners and her other activities. Louise was an active member of Immanuel Ev.
