Carl Luther Baker, 82, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016, at St. Bernards Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 10, 1933, in Black Oak, Arkansas to the late Charles and Rosella Baker.

He was a mechanic and a musician and had worked on a farm during his life. He enjoyed his wife, children and grandchildren. He took in a lot of people who needed help. He had a great sense of humor and loved to joke.

He is survived by his children, Sharon Conner of Lake City, Julie Singleton (Scott) and Joey Baker (Debbie), all of Clinton, Iowa; a very close family friend, Carol McFadden; and many grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ann Baker in 2015, and a son, Danny Baker.

A graveside service was held in Lake City Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.
