Richard Burke, 72, died Saturday at the Moran home in Lincoln township after a long illness. Funeral services were held this morning at the Catholic church in this city with Father Fischer officiating, and interment was in St. Mary's cemetery. Members of the Modern Woodmen of America lodge acted as pallbearers. The deceased has been a member of that lodge for 34 years, joining at Marshalltown, Iowa. Richard Burke came to North Dakota three years ago from Gettysburg, S. D., and has made his home with the Moran's since coming here. His wife died in Iowa in 1898. The deceased is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Andrew New of Rockham, S. D., and Mrs. H. Albertus of Canton, S. D., two sons, Thomas Buke of Willomina, Ore., and Laurence Burke of Oakland, Calif., and his brothers, Tim Burke of Marshalltown, Iowa, and John S. Burke of Aberdeen, S. D.
