Mr. West was born on a farm on the Peninsula and spent his entire life in this region. He was united in marriage in January, 1904, to Cora Remala who preceded him in death in 1932.
Mr. West was a potato buyer here for some 20 years. At the start of World War Two in 1941 he was employed at Parts Mfg. where he remained until two years ago when ill health forced his retirement.He is survived by one daughter Mrs. Cleo Timmins.
