34 924 775, Private First Class, Infantry, Company I, 232nd Infantry Regiment, for heroic achievement in action on 12 March 1945, near Lichtenberg, France. When the lead scout of his combat patrol was cut down by intense machine gun fire on Hill 415 near Lichtenberg, France, Private Hensley unhesitatingly advanced through the murderous fire to the side of his seriously wounded comrade.
