Plan Services for Colorado Pioneer

Denver, June 30 (AP) – Funeral services were being planned for one of Colorado’s most well-known pioneers, 74-year-old William Henry Leonard, who died following a cerebral hemorrhage yesterday.

Leonard, in addition to being one of the west’s leading industrial figures, was a distinguished civic leader. He was a trustee of both Denver University and the Colorado School of Mines.

Born in New York, Leonard answered the gold call in 1891, and came west at 18 to join the gold rush in Cripple Creek. He later moved to Denver where he made his permanent home.

Leonard is survived by a son, Robert Prescott Leonard of Washington, and two sisters.
