This is a memorial for my mother's cousin. His father, Sampson Dubroc, Sr., was my grandmother's (my mother's mother) brother. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Dubroc, three sons, Mark, Ted and Darrell, three sisters, Theresa "Sue" Bordelon, Dorothy "Dot" Thevenot and Rosella Dubroc, 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Dubroc.
Sampson was a Lector, Eucharistic Minister and Usher for his church, Our Lady of Lourdes in Fifth Ward, La. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion Post and former School Board Member for 8 years in Avoyelles Parish. He was a veteran of World War II, after which he became a Vet Instructor where he taught veterans new skills for job placement.
He also owned Dubroc Grocery and Hardware store and life time cattleman in the Fifth Ward Community.
