Hazel Beatrice Booker, longtime Preston resident, died Saturday evening, February 26, 2005 at Highland Park Nursing Home. She was 90 years of age. Mrs. Booker was born June 12, 1914 in Gans, Oklahoma to Squirrel and Delia Mae (Owens) Croslin. She married Homer Booker and together they moved to Preston in 1952. Prior to retirement she had worked at Preston Schools, Rebold Manor, and Okmulgee Memorial Hospital as a cook and at Golden Rule Pawn Shop. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, bingo and traveling. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, three sons, four grandchildren, one brother and three sisters. Survivors include four sons, Perry Booker and wife Pat of Morris, Doyle Booker and wife Teeny of Alba, Missouri, Dewayne Booker and Paul Booker and wife Cheri of Preston, five daughters, Genine Brown and husband Arlen of Okmulgee, Bernice Snelson and husband Bob, Linda Orsburn and husband Henry and Darlene Ray and Delbert, all of Preston and Joyce Cash and husband Ed of Westoff, Texas, six brothers, Squirrel Croslin and wife Loretta of Vian, John Croslin of Oklahoma City, Calvin Croslin and wife Sonoma of Owasso, Hubert Croslin and wife Francis of Dallas, Ward Croslin and wife Reba and Bobby Croslin and wife Sue, all of Owasso, two sisters, Geneva Orrison and husband Bob of Vian and Mildred Lucas of Nuyaka, 28 grandchildren, 74 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
