May Dell Banks, 100, of Iowa Park, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006, in Wichita Falls.

The funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 15, 2006, in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls, with Jessie Rowe and Jimmy Banks, Jr., officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m., Friday, at the Cobb Cemetery in Groesbeck, Texas under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

A daughter of the late John Lee and Isabelle (Meek) Fenner, she was born Sept. 3, 1906, in Groesbeck, Limestone County, Texas. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clinton B. Banks in 1992; and by three sons, Marvin Eugene Banks in 1928; Billy Ray Banks, who was killed during World War II in 1944, and by Jack Fenner Banks in 2002. Mrs. Banks was a homemaker for most of her life and a long time member of the North Fourth Street Church of Christ in Wichita Falls.

Survivors include her son, Jimmy Banks and his wife, Shirley of Iowa Park; seven grandchildren, Yvonne Morgan, Suzanne Beck, Jack Banks, Jr., Sondra Barker, Jimmy Banks, Jr., Beverly Banks, and Tamela Armstrong; seventeen great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006, at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
