Margaret attended St Mary's Academy in Los Angeles, and earned her BA degree in Education from UCLA. She was active in the USO during WWII, and married 1st Lt Larry A Drew after the war. They settled in Garden Grove, California, where they raised their family. Margaret taught elementary school, and worked with several social organizations including Fair Housing, Right-to-Life, and the USO during the Viet Nam war. Margaret and Larry were members of St Columban's Catholic Church. She baked an excellent chocolate cake.
