Dottie was born on September 11, 1923 in the Maple Grove, WI to the late John and Bertha Rolland Daley. She graduated from East DePere High School with the class of 1941. On November 23, 1946, Dottie married Merlin Cenefelt at Holy Innocents Catholic Church in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on January 21, 2015. Dottie was a homemaker and spent a lot of time helping on the family farm. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Cooperstown, Christian Mothers Alter Society, and Daughters of Isabella. Dottie loved to read and was known for her homemade dessert. Above all, she cherished the time she was able to spend with her family.
Survivors include Dottie’s three children: Dale (Mary Beth) Cenefelt, Green Bay; Mary Kay (Michael) Grall, Two Rivers; and Don Cenefelt, Maribel; five granddaughters: Carrie (Brad) Richardson, Kelly (Eric) Zeise, Katie (Chad) Fameree, Jennifer (Eric) Swanson, and Kristin (Adam) Keip; twelve great grandchildren; two sisters: Patricia Steeber and Bernadine Yanda; sister-in-law: Mary Lou Cenefelt; also other relatives and friends. Dottie was preceded in death by her parents: John and Bertha Daley; three sisters and five brothers-in-law: Mary (Vic) Cavanaugh, Lucille (William) Vogel, Florence (John) Yohanek, Cliff Steeber and Ray Yanda; two brothers and sisters-in-law: John “Bud” (Mary) Daley and William (Carol) Daley.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 23, 2016 at St. James Catholic Church in Cooperstown. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Finian Zaucha with entombment to take place at Calvary Mausoleum.
