Kenneth Richard River was born March 14, 1957 in Rantoul, Illinois to Richard River and Barbara (Goff) River. He passed away at home on Sept. 21, 2016 after a short battle with lung cancer. His soulmate and best friend is Theresa Ann (Sevrence) River, whom he married June 1, 1991 in Conroe, Texas.
He got his GED in 1975 in Chillicothe, Ohio. He completed training at CSCC in 1989, receiving his Airframe and Powerplant license. He began his career with Pan Am Airlines in California, moving on to Continental Airlines in Texas, Timco in North Carolina; Northwest Airlines, Gulfstream and Lockheed Martin in Georgia.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa, in Newnan, Georgia; children, Joshua (Kelly) River in Ohio, Stephanie River in Kentucky, Tera (Colby) Inman and Casie Janczak, both of Newnan, Georgia; three very loved grandchildren, Serenity Inman in Newnan, Georgia; and Joselyn and Julian River in Ashville, Ohio. He is also survived by brothers and sisters, Karen River and David (Brenda) River in Michigan, Linda (Kevin) Elliott and Jim River in Ohio. Also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Sue Bauer (David Stotlar) in Indiana, Herschel and Richard Sevrence in Ohio, Ruth (Juan) Bosquez in Texas and Patsy Mudd in Indiana; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his father, Dick, in 2013 and his mother, Barbara, on May 16, 2016.
