"Hezekiah Elmer and Elizabeth, his wife, and his sons Andrew, Eliakim, Hezekiah [Jr], and his daughers, subsequently the wives respectively of Dr Enoch Alden and James Benedict, came from Connecticut at that early day [c1792], and settled near what is known as Elmer Hill." from the history of the town of Lee, now Western, in Oneida Co: p. 474, from History of Oneida County, by Durant 1878
Hezekiah Jr's mother, Elisabeth Benedict Elmer, probably died about 1825, since she was listed in the 1800, 1810, and 1820 US census for Western, but not in the 1830 census. Hezekiah Sr lived with his son during the last years of his life.
