Funeral services for Ruth M. Spence, 67, of rural Indianola, who went to be with her Lord on Friday, December 7, 2007 at Indianola Good Samaritan was held Tuesday, December 11 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Interment will follow in New Virginia Cemetery.
Visitation was held Monday, December 10 at Overton Funeral Home where family were present.
Born in New Virginia, ruth had lived in Warren County all her life. She had worked 20 years in housekeeping at Westview Care Center. She was a member of the Indianola Church of Christ, and her priority in her life was providing a Christian home for her family.
Ruth is survived by her husband, CHARLIE; mother, LEOTA Houlette of New Virginia; four children, PHILLIP (Christy) Spence of Lacona, DIANE (Mark) Davidson of Liberty Center, SHIRLEY Harris of Overland, MO and CHRISTINE (Larry) Shivers of Indianola; two sisters, BETTY Kaldenburg of Indianola and MARILYN Kay Jones of New Virginia; thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, MARSHALL, and a brother, James.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Indianola Good Samaritan, Alzheimer's Unit in Indianola.
