TRENTON | Leo Raby Green, 95, of Trenton passed away on Friday, September 23, 2016, at UNC Lenoir Health Care. He was a member of Shady Gove United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Gaylord Green and Minnie Ellen Gaskins Green; and step-son, Ronald Elton Davenport. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Elizabeth "Rimp" Haddock Davenport Green of the home; son, Raymond Keith Green and wife Marilyn, of Trenton; step-daughter, Nancy Davenport Sumrell and husband Donald, of Trenton; step-daughter-in-law, Becky Gray Davenport of Kinston; grandchildren, Erin Elizabeth Green Rief and husband David, of Trenton, Andrea Martina Green Eubank and husband Josh, of Beaufort, S.C.; step-grandchildren, Ronald Elton Davenport Jr. and wife Kay, of Clayton, Stephen Cale Sumrell and wife Kathryn, of Goldsboro; great-grandchildren, Greenlee Elizabeth Rief, Kohlman Maggie Rief, Raylen Virginia Rief, Wrenn Michael Rief, Aubree Gail Eubank, Joshua James Eubank II; step-great-grandchildren, Shelby Elizabeth Davenport, Ronald Elton Davenport III, Weaver Davenport Sumrell, and Isabelle Kathryn Sumrell. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, September 24, 2016, at Howard-Carter Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Dickerson officiating. Visitation will be held following the service. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2016, at the Green Family Cemetery, Wyse Fork Road in Trenton.
