Otto B Baty's Final Services Held At Lake City Nov.9
LAKE CITY - Last rites for Otto B Baty, 60, were held Monday, Nov.9, at Squires Funeral Home here. The Rev James R Troxel, pastor of the Lake City Baptist church, officiated. Pallbearers were Francis Clark, Merritt Radley, Luther Hamilton, Clarence McCaulley, Glenn Gorton, and Don Hinton. Burial was in the Lanesboro cemetery. He died at his home here Nov 7 after a long illness.
Mr Baty, son of Mr and Mrs James H Baty, was born Sept 15, 1893, at Ottumwa, Iowa. When he was 12 years old, he moved with his parents to Des Moines, and when he was 21 to Lake City. On Dec 23, 1914, he married Hazel Mae Black of Des Moines.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs Hazel Baty, Lake City; four sons, Robert Baty, Lake City; Frank Baty, Norfolk, VA.; Jack Baty, Tucson, Ariz.; and Harry Baty, Lake City; five daughters, Mrs D L Morris (Dorothy Jean), and Mrs Dewayne Hinton (Helen), San Diego, Calif; Mrs James Morris (Norma), Coon Rapids; Mrs Glen Bull (Roma) and June Baty, Lake City; his mother, Mrs James H Baty, Lake City; one sister, Mrs L R Fulkerson, Nevada, IA; and 17 grandchildren. His father preceded him in death.
