Bonnie L. Walski, 73, a resident of Swoyersville, passed into eternal life Wednesday morning, in Celtic Healthcare Hospice Inpatient Unit, Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.
Her loving husband is Walter C. Walski. Together, Walter and Bonnie celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary on Sept. 14.
Bonnie was the daughter of the late John Charles Brohawn and Bernie (Balley) Brohawn.
Raised in Baltimore, Bonnie was a graduate of Seton High School, Class of 1961. Bonnie later went on to attend Luzerne County Community College, where she acquired her associate degree in education.
Prior to her retirement in 2009, Bonnie was employed for 17 years by Sallie Mae, Wilkes-Barre.
Bonnie was a faithful woman who found great peace in attending services at Christ Community Church, Kingston.
Throughout her life, Bonnie was a loving and devoted homemaker. Her family was the greatest joy in her life, and she never missed an opportunity to spend time with her loved ones.
In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Donna Lynn Krushinski, on May 8, 2003, and her grandson, Jonathan Walski, on May 1, 1996.
In addition to her husband Walter, Bonnie is survived by her son and his wife, Kennesaw, Ga.; her son-in-law, Edwardsville; her five grandchildren; her sister, Delmar, Del.; as well as her several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, which will be celebrated at Wroblewski Funeral Home Inc. Forty Fort, with the pastor of Christ Community Church, officiating.
Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek.
