Mrs. Almeta S. Peiffer, Jonestown, died in the Good Samaritan Hospital Monday evening after a six-week illness. She was 81. She was the widow of William H. Peiffer. She was a member of the Jonestown Evangelical United Brethren Church and a life member of the Missionary Society and the Ladies Aid of the church. Survivors include five daughters: Alice, wife of Harlan H. Lash, Jonestown RD 2; Mary, wife of George W. Boland, Jonestown; Dora, wife of Curtis F. Kern, Jonestown; Eleanor, wife of Robert H. Weirich, Jonestown RD 2, and Miss Gertrude Peiffer, Jonestown; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was the daughter of the late Rev. J. B. Dougherty and Mrs. Mary Shaeffer Dougherty.
