Sister, Lola Thomas was born May 5, 1959 in Hamilton, MS. She departed this life on March 14, 1991. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Bethel M.B. Church where she had remained until her death. In 1978, she married Wilbert Thomas Jr. to this union two children were born Lonnie Thomas and Ronnie Thomas. She leaves to cherish her memory, a loving fiancé James Barker, mother, Elsie Shinn. A devoted father Cleveland Shinn. A grandmother Cornelia Phelean all of Caledonia, MS. Nine sisters Elaine Carothers, of Alexandria Va. Elois Simms and Joyce Blaylock, both of Hamilton, Ms. Alice Stroud of Fort Campbell, Kentucky, Cornelia Shinn of Caledonia, Ms. Virginia Lewis, Lillie Jennings, Mary Shinn all of Columbus, MS and Retha Foster of Killeen, TX. Four brothers Jasper Shinn, Jimmy Shinn and Walter Shinn all of Columbus, MS and Cleveland Shinn all of Columbus, MS and Cleveland Shinn, Jr. of N.Y. and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
