Pauline W. Shultz, 89, of Republic, died Sunday evening, March 6, 2011, at Ruffing Family Care Center, Bloomville.

She was born Dec. 10, 1921, in Clyde, to Courtney and Inez (Sours) Egbert. She married James Shultz Sr. July 24, 1942, in Republic, and he preceded her in death Jan. 24, 1989.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, John Shultz in 1994 and James Shultz Jr. in 1999; three brothers, Don, Alvin and Ted Egbert; and two sisters, Lois Jean Egbert and Anna Ruth Bailey.
She worked for many years at General Electric, Bellevue, retiring in 1983.

Mrs. Shultz was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Republic, where she formerly taught Sunday school. She was a former Girl Scout leader, a 1939 graduate of Scipio-Republic High School, a member of the Wade Benfer American Legion Post No. 404 Ladies Auxiliary, Republic, and a member of Rebecca Lodge, Republic. She also loved to crochet.

Her funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2011, at Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR 19, Bloomville, OH 44818, (419) 983-2111, with Pastor Virginia Park officiating. Burial will follow at Seneca Memory Gardens, Tiffin.

Visitation is 2-4 pm and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, at the funeral home.
