Swedish Countess. Luxembourgish countess and princess. Daughter of Count Nils Wachtmeister af Johannishus and Countess Ebba née De Geer, and born at Tistad Palace near Nyköping, she was herself a Swedish countess and first in 1942 married Carl-Herman Bussler (1918-1981); the couple had three children. After Bussler died she became the second wife in 1988 of the also widowed Carl Johan Bernadotte, formerly Prince of Sweden, who had been a childhood friend of hers. Through her marriage to Bernadotte she became nobility also in Luxembourg; in 1951 he had been granted the titles of Prince Bernadotte (which he did not use) and Count of Wisborg by the head of state there, Grand Duchess Charlotte. In Sweden, the special name Bernadotte af Wisborg also had been approved by that country's king and was used by some of the relatives. In 2010, Bernadotte gave her the house in Båstad which he had built for himself and his late first wife. He died two years later.
