LIBERTY - Thelma C. Davis Benson, 88, of Massillon, Ohio, died Friday at Meadow Wind Health Care Center. Born in North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Wiley and Rose Greer Davis. She was a League of Mercy secretary and was active in the Home League at the Salvation Army. She was widow of Herbert Denson and was also preceded in death by a son Morris T. Benson. Survivors include two sons, Arthur L. and Herbert A. Benson, both of Massillon; one sister, Edna Pennington of Liberty; three halfbrothers, Alton, Frank and
Harvey Davis, all of Liberty; four grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Bartle Funeral Home. Burial will be in Middleburg Cemetery.
Visitation is after 6 p.m. Monday. Contributions are suggested to the Salvation Army, 143 1st St. SE, P.O. Box 276 Massillon, Ohio, 44648.
