Joseph A. Lewinski, 77, died at 4:30 am. Sunday in the South Bend Convalescent Center following an extended illness.
He retired in 1972 from The Tribune where he was a stereotyper for 32 years. Lewinski was born on Feb. 12, 1902, in South Bend where he lived all his life.
On Nov. 23, 1927, in Bend he married Lillian L. Walowski who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Robert J. and James A., both of South Bend; six grandchildren; three sisters, Sophie, Theresa and Clara Lewinski, and a brother, Adolph, all of South Bend.
