Mickey was born July 11, 1936 in Harrison County, Iowa to Mary (Corbitt) and Floyd Alvis. She married Charles Ulmer on July 2, 1955. Charles was a bridge builder, and the couple moved to various locations in the Midwest. Mickey made friends wherever she went. She was a generous spirit with a giving heart, but never a pushover. She was devoted to her family and friends. Mickey loved music, singing and the theatre and had a love for all wildlife.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Chuck Ulmer; her children, Patti (Jerry) Scheel, Danny (Linda Sue) Ulmer and Sandy (Jeff) Fisher; 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Mickey was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jim (Evelyn) Alvis; and her sister, Patty Alvis.
