Lena Allen Pennington, 94, of Canoe Creek Road, died Sunday at Casey County Hospital.

Born April 15, 1911, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Wilby and Mary Vaughn Allen.

She was a homemaker, a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church and the widow of Claxton Pennington.

Survivors include three sons, Joe Pennington of Hustonville, W.C. Pennington of Liberty and Vernon Pennington of Parksville, Ind.; six daughters, Lounina Hamm of Franklin, Ind., Annie Clements of Ottawa, Ill., Opal Clements of Dunnville, Katheryn Wethington of Columbia, and Ivadean Helm and Brenda Goode, both of Liberty; a half brother, Ray Allen of Franklin, Ind.; a half sister, Faye Lynn of Franklin, Ind.; 27 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Pennington.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Edward Parton and Denny Russell. Burial will be in Whited Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Glen Hamm, Donnie and Keith Clements, Brad and Derek Pennington, Robbie Wethington and Barron Goode. Honorary pallbearers are grandchildren.
